Biz Degree Pathways uses different sources for different kinds of claims. Degree terminology relies on federal or education-sector terminology sources, such as the NCES/IPEDS Glossary. DBA and PhD distinctions rely on business education and institution-owned program materials where applicable. Accreditation context relies on accreditation organizations, accreditor profiles, or the University of Phoenix accreditation page, depending on the claim being made.

Sources are chosen by claim type

This model prevents one source from doing too much work. A program page can describe that institution’s program. It cannot prove how every employer will evaluate the degree. An accreditation profile can explain an accreditor’s scope. It cannot guarantee a graduate outcome.

Institution-owned pages have limited use

Institution-owned pages are useful for statements about that institution.
